Исследование содержит в себе информацию о феномене серийных убийц, способах совершения преступлений данного рода, детерминантов формирования личности «серийника». Работа позволила выделить ряд подходов к изучению особенностей личности и поведения различных типов серийных сексуальных убийц. Главной целью исследования был комплексный анализ личностных и поведенческих особенностей серийных сексуальных убийц. Работа также включает в себя анализ возможных решений одной из главных проблем данного вопроса - как невозможность сведения к нулю, так и нереалистичность полной раскрываемости преступлений данного рода. Помимо этого, в исследовании рассматривается феномен повышенного интереса общественности к серийным убийцам.

The study contains data about the phenomenon of serial killers as such alongside the methods of committing crimes of this kind and the determinants of the formation of the personality of a serial killer. This research allowed us to identify a number of approaches to studying the personality and behavior of various types of serial sexual killers. The main purpose of the study was a comprehensive analysis of the personality and behavioral characteristics of serial sex killers. The research also includes the analysis of possible solutions to one of the main problems of this area - both the impossibility of completely leaving such crimes in the past and the unfeasibilit of the full disclosure of crimes of this kind. In addition, the study examines the phenomenon of increased public interest in serial killers throughout history.
